A Proven Treatment for COVID-19 – Ivermectin

In the last few months, evidence of the effectiveness of using Ivermectin to treat COVID-19 has come forward through numerous research studies.

Some background – Ivermectin is a decades old drug that is used to treat parasitic infections such as River Blindness and Elephantiasis.  Both are caused by parasites.    The mechanism of action of how it seems to work on COVID 19 is unclear, but it appears to reduce the cytokine storm unleashed by the immune system as it works on mounting a defense against the virus.
